Our Mission

The Puppet Tree is an arts and wellbeing organisation based in Cromer, North Norfolk. We run a fully accessible community venue and use storytelling, puppetry and arts workshops with a specific mission improve wellbeing. Our founder is a children’s nurse and councellor with a profound understanding of what matters.

The aim of The Puppet Tree is to remind people that there is another world away from technology where you can use your hands, your imagination and the creativity which exists in us all, no matter how hidden by the stresses and strains of modern life.

Puppets have long been considered theraputic and puppet play enhances and encourages communication, sometimes in individuals who have been considered unable to concentrate or communicate.

Our workshops are open to all, but we have a specific mission to reach children and families that are disabled, neurodiverse, marginalised or terminally il with the aim of improving well-being and encouranging communication. Our participants are constantly surprised by their achievements which boosts confidence and self-esteem.
